RALLY INFORMATION
A sociable circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight with overnight stops in Yarmouth and Gosport.
Sailing down to Yarmouth on the Friday afternoon tide with an earlyish start on Saturday morning to take us out through the iconic Needles before the tide turns eastwards for the return sail to Gosport.
Yarmouth is a picturesque fishing, ferry and yachting port, widely regarded as one of the jewels of the South Coast. The deep water harbour retains its old world charm, while visiting boats will find a range of amenities which are very much up to date, and accepted as being among the best in the Solent.
You can join 1 or both nights. Saturday's meal is open to all members who can arrive by sea or land

Itinerary:
Friday (Berthing @ Yarmouth)
6pm BYO Pontoon drinks on/near Astrid.
Nothing further is planned for Friday evening due to prompt start and longer day on Saturday.
Saturday Round the Island
We suggest leaving Yarmouth around 07.30 a.m BST passing through Hurst and down past the Needles to catch the slack water as we turn the corner. Fingers crossed for better visibility this year as we round the Island and maybe a fair wind in the right direction.
Berthing at Gosport Marina, free berthing night for Port Solent berth holders.
Saturday evening:
6.00pm Pre-dinner drinks on pontoon on or near Astrid prior to the half mile (11 minute) stroll along the promenade and round to The Creek Restaurant at Haslar for our dinner (Please note that it may take a little longer for some on our return ).
7.15pm Dinner at The Creek Restaurant, Haslar

Julie will always acknowledge your order so please ensure it comes directly to Julie, by 9th June 2026 AT THE LATEST, and that I have confirmed receipt. Please also note that, as this is a Pre-order event, in the event of a late cancellation you will be personally committed to payment should you cancel after 12th June 2026. Thank you for your understanding.
In the event of really bad weather and the sail has to be postponed, the Creek at Haslar is still within easy reach for most of us to still enjoy a sociable Saturday evening dinner.
Non participating Club members are welcome to join us for dinner.
